Greco's Maiden Voyage
...of the 10mW FM Transmitter
Here is Greco's own words and pictures...
As I wanted to make my transmitter as small as possible,
the first thing I started with was to buy the smallest components
I could find. I also changed the resistors from 1/2 watt to 1/4
watt and soldered them vertically so that they would occupy less
space. In order to obtain such a small transistor, I first put
all the pieces as near as I could, even sometimes in the same
holes and then began soldering them together. Regarding the air
coil, I discovered, that the size doesn't matter so much as long
as therer are five turns. For the antenna...the bigger it is or
the longer the cable is...the better the signal will be.
Finding the right frequency wasn't so difficult, you just have to trim the variable capacitor very slowly in order to find the correct frequency and not the harmonic ones.

The 10mW FM Transmitter is actually a very easy circuit to build and I am not saying that so that you don't have to make it, but instead, once you have finished the circuit and have found the correct frequency, it will work perfectly and...
...you can have lots of fun!
